Photojournalist Patrick Farrell has joined the blog with his weekly feature, The Sunday Still. Nailed It In a shot felt ’round the world, AFP photographer Martin Bernetti captured a Chilean demonstrator on Sept. 8 as he perfectly lands his displeasure during a peaceful-turned-violent march in Santiago honoring victims of General Pinochet’s dictatorship. The 46-year-old military coup that brought Pinochet to power is still a political flashpoint. Patrick Farrell, the curator of The Sunday Still, is the 2009 Pulitzer Prize-winner for Breaking News Photography for The Miami Herald, where he worked from 1987 to 2019. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Media Management at the University of Miami School of Communication.
